Aaron Quinlan

Aaron is a dedicated law enforcement professional, graduating from LSSU with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice in 2008. He has devoted his entire career to serving in the Upper Peninsula, joining Gladstone Public Safety Department in 2015. Outside of work, he enjoys being in the outdoors and cherishes time with his daughters, Abby and Audra.

Aaron has served the center since 2017. He’s the current Vice President of the Board of Directors at the CAC, and will serve in this role until 2027. Aaron is a member of both the Executive Committee and Advisory Committee.

Casey Sager

Casey Sager, MD is an OB-GYN who has been practicing medicine in the Upper Peninsula for nearly 10 years. Upon graduation, she moved to Escanaba and began practicing community-based care. She works for the VA as a gynecologist, who provides dedicated women’s healthcare to female Veterans of the Upper Peninsula and northeastern Wisconsin.  Casey enjoys spending free time with her family and friends. She loves the water, so boating and fishing on the Great Lakes are some of her common pastimes.

Casey has served on the Board of Directors since 2017.

Connie Larson

After dedicating 23 years to the Dickinson County Prosecutor’s Office as the Victim’s Rights Coordinator, Connie retired to Manistique, MI, with her husband. She is also a licensed Social Worker and previously coordinated Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area in Dickinson County.

Connie brings a wealth of experience and compassion, especially for child victims. Having worked firsthand with child advocacy centers, she has seen the profound impact of providing a safe space for children and families during difficult times. Her commitment to community and child safety continues to shine as she joins us in making a difference.

When she’s not volunteering, Connie enjoys swimming, fishing, boating, and spending time with family, including her new granddaughter!

Connie has served the center since 2024. She’s the current Secretary of the Board of Directors of the CAC, and will be in this role until 2027. She also serves on both the Executive Committee and Development & Communications Committee.

Jessica Gasso

Jess has a rich background in social services and advocacy. She loves to empower families and motivate her team to hone the same passions.

Jess's approach to family advocacy is rooted in a strong belief in social justice and equity. Jess is committed to continuous learning, community development and safe and healthy families which is why she chooses to be apart of the Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center.

In her free time, Jess likes to spend time with her loved ones. She loves to travel and experience all the world has to offer with her kids.

Jess has served the center since 2024. She sits in both the Development & Communications Committee.

Karla Lehmann

Karla has spent her career dedicated to supporting victims of crime through investigation and advocacy.  She spent twenty-five years as a Milwaukee Police Officer with half that time in the Sensitive Crimes Division.  She is an expert victim interviewer and retired from MPD to conduct forensic interviews at the Milwaukee Child Advocacy Center.   When Karla heard the Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center was opening as the first CAC in the UP, she was excited to be involved in the startup.  She later transferred closer to home to the CAC in Iron Mountain.  She most recently has left the CAC to continue her journey in advocacy as a Victim Advocate with the Michigan State Police at the Iron Mountain Post. 

Karla has been on the Board of Directors at the Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center since 2022. From 2022 to 2025, she served as Vice President. In addition to her role on the Board, Karla is an active member of the Advisory Committee and the MDT. She takes pride in supporting the DRCAC by offering consultation to the Director and staff whenever needed.

Lauren Wickman

Lauren Wickman is the Prosecuting Attorney for Delta County. She grew up in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Lauren has strong family ties to the Escanaba area, and spent time visiting family in the area when she was growing up. In 2014, Lauren worked in Delta County as an intern, she absolutely fell in in love with the area’s beauty and the amazing people. When she left to go back to law school, Lauren knew she would return to the Delta County area, in hopes becoming the Prosecutor. Lauren graduated law school and passed the bar to become a lawyer in 2015. In December 2016, received an offer to start in the Delta County Prosecutor’s Office 2016, was promoted to Chief Assistant in 2019, and was elected as Prosecutor in 2022. During her time in the Delta County Prosecutor’s Office, Lauren has advocated for victim rights in the Courtroom, developed strong relationships with local law enforcement, and sought to further the organizations, like the Delta Regional CAC by providing support.

When not in the courtroom, Lauren likes spending time with her 6-year-old Golden Retriever, Jack McCoy. They enjoy hiking and camping in the Upper Peninsula. Jack has also become Lauren’s favorite subject while practicing her photography skills. When they can’t be outside, Lauren and Jack enjoy watching movies and cooking.

Lauren has served on the board of the CAC since 2022. She is the Chair of the Advisory Committee.

Marcey Skwor

Marcey brings a wealth of experience to our team, having dedicated 40 years to Baybank as a CFO, overseeing accounting and investments. Since her retirement in January 2024, she's been enjoying traveling and cherishing time with her four grandchildren.

Her passion for giving back is evident through her involvement in various boards over the years, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delta County, where she also served as a Big Sister. Marcey is eager to make a difference as a volunteer child advocate in our program, in addition to being a board member, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our organization.

In her spare time, you can find Marcey hiking, paddle boarding, or playing pickleball. Her love for the outdoors and active lifestyle reflects her vibrant spirit, and we know she will bring that enthusiasm to our advocacy efforts.

Marcey has served the center since 2024. She’s the current Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the CAC, and will serve in this role until 2027. Marcey is a member of both the Executive Committee and Organizational Development Committee.

Melissa Middaugh

Melissa has extensive work experience in program development and management roles. Melissa started their career in 2002 with the Peace Corps. Melissa's most recent role is with the Worldwide Orphans Foundation, where they serve as the Chief Program Officer. Melissa has served the Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center as the Forensic Interviewer and Director. Melissa pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Phoenix between 2008 and 2010.

Melissa has served on the board of the CAC since 2022. She is the current Board President, and will remain in this position until 2027. She is the chair of the Executive Committee, and provides support wherever it is needed.

Rob Steinhoff

Rob has served the CAC since 2017.

Tabitha Turnacliff

Tabitha is with Escanaba Public Safety. She has been a law enforcement officer for 20 years.

Tabitha plays a vital role on our Delta County Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). She ensures that all child abuse and neglect cases in Escanaba are approached with compassion, care, and thoroughness. She is a huge advocate for law enforcement utilizing CAC services, and actively supports the growth of our forensic interviewers. Her guidance and encouragement are invaluable to our team.

Tabitha has served the CAC since 2017. She stepped up as Treasurer from 2024-2025. She still serves on the Executive Committee, and is an incredible support to our leadership.

Whitney Maloney

Whitney is a small business owner who lives in Gladstone with her husband and three children. She was introduced to the Child Advocacy Center during a tour through the community leadership program, Delta Force, and knew that she wanted to support the organization much as possible.

In her free time, Whitney enjoys spending time with her family, arts and crafts, feeding her sourdough starter, gardening, and enthusiastically attending the endless schedule of activities of her three active kids.

Whitney has served the center since 2020. She volunteered as the Board of Director’s Secretary from 2023-2024, and at that time she also served on the Executive Committee.
