Our CAC Team
Director
Sarah brings 15 years of experience working with children and families in the U.P. She joined the Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center in 2021 as an advocate, transitioned into forensic interviewing, and later assumed the role of Director. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a focus on Human Development. She is trained in forensic interviewing through the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan and has completed extensive training in child forensic interviewing, trauma, crisis intervention, and crimes against children.
Passionate about the positive impact the Child Advocacy Center has on the children in the community, Sarah is committed to ensuring the CAC remains a sustainable organization for years to come. She also enjoys serving as a backup forensic interviewer.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her two sons, who are the center of her world, and enjoys going on adventures with them. Sarah also has a love for her dogs and chickens, reading, and spending time outdoors.
MDT Coordinator
Veronica is a graduate of Bay College, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Studies with a focus on Criminal Justice. She joined the Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center in 2023, after working with the Delta County Prosecutor's Office. She serves as the MDT Coordinator, ensuring that every case is handled with care and professionalism.
In addition to her work at the CAC, Veronica volunteers with the Delta County Victim Service Unit, where she teams up with therapy dog Opal to provide comfort during the delivery of traumatic news. Her deep involvement in the community is evident through her compassion and dedication to helping others.
Veronica is also a proud new mom and is embracing every moment of this new journey.
Therapist
Anne came out of retirement to join the Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center in 2023, driven by her passion for guiding children, teens, and their families through the healing journey after experiencing trauma. In her “first career,” she spent many years as a school social worker. Anne holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is also deeply committed to providing healing through group and play therapy.
Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time with her dog, Siri, and hosting gatherings with friends and family. She is also a talented writer, adding creativity and depth to everything she does.
Family Advocate
Wendy holds an Associate of Arts degree from Bay de Noc Community College and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Northern Michigan University. With over 20 years of dedicated service, she has made a profound impact on the lives of children and families. Her expertise includes collaboration with the court system and local service providers to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Wendy has worked tirelessly to safeguard children and keep them in nurturing environments with their caregivers.
She holds a Limited Social Work License and has extensive experience in areas such as the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), foster care licensing, and conducting home studies. Wendy’s true passion lies in supporting children and families, guiding them through challenges and addressing concerns related to child safety. Known for her resourcefulness, she loves finding and sharing valuable resources with families and professionals alike.
Her colleagues admire her sense of humor and warm presence, which truly makes the CAC feel like a welcoming home for everyone. If you need a recipe or fashion advice, Wendy is your go-to person!
Forensic Interviewer
Hannah holds an Associate in Liberal Arts and an Associate in Arts in Criminal Justice from Bay de Noc Community College, as well as a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from Lake Superior State University. She is trained in forensic interviewing through the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan and has completed extensive training in child forensic interviewing, working with individuals with disabilities, and addressing crimes against children.
Hannah feels deeply honored when children trust her to share their truths. A lifelong learner and fierce advocate for children, she is committed to making a positive impact in their lives and ensuring their voices are heard.
Outside of work, Hannah loves to read, is an avid fan of football, and enjoys baking. She also cherishes spending time with her children. Her colleagues appreciate her great sense of humor, which brings joy to those around her.
